We at Charlotte Racefest, want to see athletes of all levels and abilities enjoy their race day experience. We are proud to share programming available for those wishing to train for Charlotte Racefest.

 

FREE TRAINING PLANS


We have partnered with Forward Motion CLT to offer three FREE training programs in order to support you reaching your race day goals.  Why partner with Forward Motion CLT

They understand the value of running is personal. For some it’s about taking the first step. For others, it’s a PR. The goal of Forward Motion CLT is to keep running simple and pure. We help runners move along their journey as mentally and physically strong as possible in a way that can be enjoyed to its fullest. We invite you to use and share these plans. Run Far | Run For You

RUN FAR is a 14-week program to prepare you for longer distances and races like half marathons and full marathons. RUN FAR is open to all levels of runners!
From the start of the RUN FAR program, runners and walkers are grouped with others of similar abilities and goals.
The RUN FAR weekly training schedule includes 3 different workouts, each designed to help the runner with pacing and endurance. Interval training, (speed workouts), tempo (pace running), hill running (strength), and progressively long runs (endurance) are combined with rest days and cross-training to meet the goal results of the distance runner!
